The Pontec PondoFog RGB combines an ultrasonic mist maker with colour-changing LED illumination. When the ceramic fogging element sits at the correct water depth it creates a low cloud of fine water mist, while the integrated RGB light adds a changing coloured glow after dark.

The set includes the fogger, safety transformer, ten metres of low-voltage cable and a floating support ring. The ring helps maintain the operating position as the water level moves, making the unit easier to use in a pond or larger bowl than a bare ultrasonic module.

Where it works best

Use PondoFog in a sheltered ornamental pond, raised bowl or decorative water feature where the mist can be seen at close range. Wind disperses fog quickly, so a protected courtyard feature generally shows the effect more clearly than a large exposed pond. The unit must operate at the water depth stated in the instructions and the ceramic disc must remain clean.

Installation and care

• Use the supplied transformer and do not modify the low-voltage connection.
• Position the mains equipment and plug safely away from the water with suitable RCD protection.
• Check water level and mineral build-up regularly; hard-water deposits reduce fog output.
• Isolate the unit before lifting it from the water or cleaning the ceramic element.
• Keep the floating ring away from pump intakes and skimmer mouths.

Frequently asked questions

Does it produce real fog?

Yes. An ultrasonic ceramic element creates very fine water droplets that appear as low mist. It does not heat or boil the water.

Can it be used outdoors?

Yes, when installed exactly as instructed with the transformer and mains connection protected appropriately. The visual effect is strongest in calm conditions.

Does it oxygenate the pond?

No. Any gas-exchange benefit is incidental and should not be relied upon. Use a correctly sized pond air pump for aeration.
