The Oase Vitronic 24 W UVC is a compact ultraviolet pond clarifier designed to eliminate green water caused by suspended algae and improve overall pond water clarity. As pond water passes through the unit, it is exposed to ultraviolet light which disrupts the cellular structure of single celled algae, bacteria and other harmful microorganisms responsible for cloudy or green pond water.
Designed for inline dry installation, the Vitronic 24 W can be easily connected to most pond pumps and filtration systems. The supplied stepped hose connectors allow the clarifier to work with several hose sizes, making installation simple for a wide range of pond setups.
How the Oase Vitronic 24 W UVC Works
Water from the pond is pumped through the UVC chamber where it flows past the ultraviolet lamp. The UV light damages the cells of suspended algae, causing them to clump together so they can then be removed by the pond filtration system.
This process helps restore clear pond water while also reducing harmful microorganisms and improving overall water quality. Clearer water allows sunlight to reach deeper areas of the pond and helps create a healthier environment for fish and beneficial bacteria.

Pond Size Recommendations
Natural ponds without fish can be treated up to approximately 25,000 litres.
Goldfish ponds are typically suitable up to around 12,000 litres.
Koi ponds require stronger filtration and are recommended up to approximately 6,000 litres.

UV sizing and maintenance notes
Oase Vitronic 24 W UVC should be matched to the pond volume, flow rate and water clarity problem you are trying to solve. UV clarification works best when water passes the lamp at a suitable speed and the quartz sleeve is kept clean. If the flow is too fast, contact time can be reduced. If the lamp is old or the quartz sleeve is dirty, performance can drop even when the unit still appears to be switched on.
