How the Oase Vitronic 11 W UVC Works
Water from the pond is pumped through the UVC chamber where it passes close to the ultraviolet lamp. Oase Vitronic 11 W UVC should be matched to the pond volume, flow rate and water clarity problem you are trying to solve. UV clarification works best when water passes the lamp at a suitable speed and the quartz sleeve is kept clean. If the flow is too fast, contact time can be reduced. If the lamp is old or the quartz sleeve is dirty, performance can drop even when the unit still appears to be switched on.
