Unlike traditional powdered phosphate removers that are dosed directly into the water, SeDox Speed is supplied in pre filled net bags that are specifically designed to be positioned within flowing water areas such as pond filters, streams, waterfalls, return chambers or high flow filter systems.

This makes SeDox Speed an extremely clean, convenient and controlled solution for phosphate management without clouding the water or requiring direct application across the pond surface.

Phosphate is widely recognised as the primary nutrient responsible for excessive algae and blanketweed growth. When phosphate levels rise due to fish waste, decaying organic matter, fertiliser runoff, overfeeding or sediment disturbance, algae can quickly begin to multiply. As phosphate concentrations increase, water clarity deteriorates, oxygen levels fluctuate and long term water quality problems often develop.

Typical installation locations include pressure filters, drum filters, moving bed systems, skimmer chambers, waterfall returns, streams or dedicated filter bays.

Because the treatment remains contained within the net bags, there is no loose powder dispersing into the pond. This allows for much cleaner application and makes the product particularly suitable for koi ponds, ornamental ponds and filtration systems where controlled dosing is preferred.

SeDox Speed continues working for up to six weeks depending on nutrient levels and helps maintain phosphate concentrations below 0.035 mg/L, the recognised threshold above which excessive algae growth commonly occurs. The apatite formed during the process is completely safe for fish, wildlife and aquatic plants. In fact, aquatic plants are able to absorb the bound minerals naturally through their root systems while algae cannot utilise them.
