Our recommended model to compare is the Oase Aquarius Eco Premium 9500. The 9500 shares the old 9000’s 6 m maximum head and provides a slightly higher maximum flow. Check the flow available at your actual lift before ordering.

The original pump was rated at up to 9,000 litres/hour, 6 m maximum head and 195 W. The recommended model is rated at up to 9,500 litres/hour, 6 m maximum head and 100 W. Maximum flow and maximum head are separate limits, not simultaneous operating figures: match the pump curve to your feature, pipework and nozzle.

The replacement measures 310 × 145 × 210 mm and has a G 1½ inlet and outlet. Check space, adapters and pipe alignment before fitting; it is a replacement recommendation rather than a guarantee of a direct physical swap.

The Eco Premium can be installed submerged or dry in accordance with its instructions. Its electronic flow adjustment uses compatible Oase controls, available separately; without a controller it runs at full power. Do not connect it to a dimmable mains supply or assume an older speed controller can be reused. The on-pump dynamic function varies the water display and is separate from choosing a steady flow setting.
