Whether integrated into an existing filtration setup or utilized as a standalone unit, this filter system provides both mechanical and biological filtration alongside the added benefit of UV treatment.

Versatile in application, the Surge Filter with 18-watt UV is suitable for use in quarantine systems or as a standalone filter for smaller ponds up to 5,000 liters (1,100 gallons).

Featuring a patent-pending design, installation and maintenance are made effortless. Its unique air syphon mechanism facilitates quick and efficient cleaning. During the cleaning cycle, the filter draws in air, inducing water agitation that effectively cleans the K+Media, Evolution Aqua’s proprietary filter media. Engineered with minerals for accelerated maturation times, K+Media can filter particles as small as one micron.

Operationally, water is pumped through the Evolution Aqua Surge, where the K+Media acts as a mechanical barrier, trapping debris as it passes through the system. Waste accumulates within the media until the cleaning cycle dislodges it, flushing it away.

Cleaning the Evolution Aqua Surge Filter is a swift process, requiring only a few minutes. Simply power down the pump, close the slide valves, and open the waste valve tap to initiate the cleaning procedure.
