2025 Upgraded Design and Build Quality

The latest version of the Tempest includes several important upgrades that improve both usability and durability.

It now features 1.5 inch double union ball valves for more secure and reliable connections. In addition, the redesigned waste valve assembly improves cleaning performance and reduces the chance of blockages.

The unit is also supplied with 3mm stainless steel mounting brackets, allowing for a stronger and more stable installation. As a result, the filter is easier to install and better suited to long term use in outdoor environments.

Ultra Fine Filtration with K Plus Media

At the core of the Tempest Filter is Evolution Aqua’s advanced K Plus Media. This media provides a large protected surface area for beneficial bacteria while also delivering ultra fine mechanical filtration.

Capable of filtering particles down to extremely fine levels, the media captures debris that would normally pass through standard filtration systems. As a result, water clarity is significantly improved.

The Tempest features a patent pending air syphon cleaning system that makes maintenance quick and simple. When the pump is turned off and the waste valve opened, air is drawn into the unit automatically.

This process agitates the media, loosening trapped debris and allowing it to be flushed out through the waste outlet. As a result, the filter can be cleaned in minutes without opening the unit or handling dirty media.

How the Tempest Filter Works

Water is pumped up through the Tempest Filter where it passes through the K Plus Media. As the water flows, the media rises and forms a dense barrier that traps fine particles and debris.
