The Evolution Aqua EazyPod Air Grey is a compact mechanical and biological filtration system supplied with the Evolution Aqua Airtech 70 kit as standard. Because it combines static K1 filtration with continuous aeration, it delivers efficient solid waste removal and enhanced biological performance in one compact unit.

Designed for smaller koi ponds, ornamental ponds and quarantine systems up to 10000 litres, the EazyPod Air Grey provides reliable mechanical solids capture while improving ammonia and nitrite breakdown through oxygenated bio media. As a result, it offers stronger biological stability than non aerated static systems while maintaining simple operation and easy cleaning.

Built using proven Nexus Eazy technology, the EazyPod Air Grey remains straightforward to install and maintain, even in restricted spaces.

How the Evolution Aqua EazyPod Air Grey Works

First, water enters the outer chamber where heavier solids settle naturally at the base of the unit. This initial stage improves mechanical separation before finer filtration begins.

Next, water passes through a stainless steel grill that prevents larger debris from entering the central chamber.

Inside the centre chamber, 18 litres of static K1 media perform two key functions:

• Mechanical filtration by trapping fine suspended solids
• Biological filtration by providing high surface area for beneficial bacteria

Unlike the standard EazyPod, the Air version continuously oxygenates the media using the Airtech 70 air pump. This integrated aeration improves ammonia conversion efficiency and strengthens overall biological filtration.

Finally, clean water returns to the pond.

When cleaning is required, you redirect airflow to agitate the K1 media. This air assisted cleaning cycle dislodges trapped waste, which you then flush out via the integrated waste valve. Therefore, maintenance remains quick and controlled without dismantling the filter.

The EazyPod Air Grey can operate as both a pump fed or gravity fed system when correctly configured.
