Genuine flow-control and hose-connection kit for compatible Force-Hybrid pumps

This genuine Blagdon assembly combines a serviceable ball valve with a stepped multi-hosetail for Force-Hybrid 5000, 6000, 8000, 10000, 14000 and 16000 pumps. It provides a convenient way to connect 19, 25, 32 or 38mm flexible hose and to isolate or adjust the outlet during maintenance.

A valve can reduce flow, but it cannot add pressure or correct a badly undersized hose. For larger Force-Hybrid models, use the widest hose that the connected filter or waterfall supports. Cutting the hosetail back to the selected step removes the smaller internal restrictions and usually improves delivered flow.

Installation tips

• Cut only the unused smaller hosetail steps, using a clean square cut.
• Warm flexible hose gently in hot water rather than using a flame.
• Secure the hose with a corrosion-resistant clip without crushing the tail.
• Support the hose so it does not lever against the pump outlet.
• Close the valve only after considering whether the pump requires a minimum flow.
