Yamitsu Algae Master UV Wall Bracket
A replacement mounting clip for supporting a compatible Yamitsu UV body
The Yamitsu UV Wall Bracket provides a mounting point for a compatible Yamitsu UV unit. Kockney Koi specifies a clip internal diameter of 95.5mm and describes the bracket as allowing access to remove the unit for maintenance. It is a useful replacement when an existing bracket is damaged, missing or no longer holds the equipment correctly.
This is a bracket rather than a complete UV clarifier. It does not replace the UV housing, lamp, quartz sleeve or electrical assembly. Identify the component you need before ordering: a support problem needs a sound mounting arrangement, while a damaged water chamber or electrical fault requires the appropriate separate repair.
Check the body and mounting arrangement
Compare the bracket with the existing fitting and the instructions for your particular UV unit. The manufacturer’s 95.5mm measurement is the internal clip diameter. It is not the diameter of a water connection, a screw-hole spacing or a universal statement that every nominally similar pipe will fit.
Check the equipment model and inspect the mounting position as well as the old bracket. A UV unit can have several different fittings around its body, so distinguish the external support bracket from a connection collar or a retaining part around the electrical end. Use the product photographs to compare the complete bracket and its base.
For the complete equipment range, see our Yamitsu Algae Master 25W UV clarifier and Yamitsu Algae Master 15W UV clarifier. Check the mounting requirements in the relevant unit instructions before selecting spare parts. The bracket does not alter the power rating or water-treatment capacity of the clarifier.
Supplied individually
The price is for one bracket. Count the mounting points required for the equipment and inspect the complete installation before choosing a quantity. Replacing one visibly broken fitting is not enough if another support is cracked, loose or badly positioned. Keep the UV body properly supported while checking or removing a bracket.
The official photographs show the complete clip and a closer view of its mounting base. Compare these with the space available behind and around the equipment. Plan access for both fitting the bracket and removing the UV unit later; a location that is easy to reach during a new installation may become awkward once other pipework is in place.
Plan for routine maintenance
A UV clarifier needs access for the maintenance described in its own instructions. Leave room to reach the relevant end fittings and withdraw service components without forcing them against a wall or adjacent equipment. Long glass lamps and sleeves need careful handling, so consider their removal path rather than checking only whether the assembled UV body fits into the space.
Position the support so that connected pipework or hoses do not pull the unit out of alignment. A wall bracket supports the equipment at its intended mounting point; it should not be used to force misaligned plumbing into position. Check the whole arrangement before tightening or reconnecting anything.
Replacing an existing bracket
Follow the UV manufacturer’s shutdown and maintenance procedure before working around the unit. Isolate the electrical supply and deal with water circulation as directed for that installation. Support the equipment before releasing its mounting points so that its weight is not transferred unexpectedly to a hose, union or electrical cable.
Inspect the mounting surface and existing fixing points. A replacement clip cannot correct loose fixings or an unsuitable support surface. Select wall fixings appropriate to the surface and equipment instructions, and check the installation before returning the unit to service. Do not drill the UV body or electrical enclosure to create an alternative mounting arrangement.
Fit the bracket without distorting the housing it supports. Follow the equipment instructions for the final position and alignment. If the assembly does not sit correctly, stop and check the model, clip size and surrounding plumbing rather than applying extra force to make it close.
Other uses described by the manufacturer
Kockney Koi also describes this clip as being used to hold the electrics box on the UV body, and for supporting other pipework. Check the actual application carefully: the same clip can serve a different purpose in a different assembly. Match the manufacturer’s arrangement rather than assuming that every location needs the same number of brackets or the same fixing method.
Checks after fitting
Before restarting, confirm that the unit is supported securely and that cables, hoses and service access have not been obstructed. Restore operation according to the UV instructions and check any water connections disturbed during the work. At later maintenance visits, inspect the brackets and fixing points along with the rest of the installation so that movement or damage is noticed before the equipment loses support.
