The Oase AquaOxy Aeration Ring 60cm is designed to turn the output from a compatible pond air pump into a controlled curtain or area of fine bubbles. Smaller bubbles rise more slowly and provide more air-to-water contact than a few coarse bubbles, supporting oxygen transfer and useful water movement.

The weighted 60cm ring distributes bubbles around a broad circle. It is the choice when maximum visible aeration and a strong rising circulation column are preferred to the quieter line produced by an aerator bar.

Technical details

Choose the diffuser from both airflow and depth

An air pump must overcome water pressure and the resistance of the diffuser. Placing a diffuser deeper increases back pressure; a dirty or mineral-coated surface increases it again. Use the recommended pump pairing, keep airline runs sensible and avoid restrictive fittings. A weak result is not always a failed pump – inspect the airline, non-return valve and diffuser first.

Positioning and maintenance

• Place the diffuser on a stable area where it will not disappear into soft sludge.
• Keep it clear of bottom drains, pump intakes and fragile plant crowns.
• Use a suitable non-return valve if the air pump is below the water level.
• Clean deposits using the method in the Oase instructions; never enlarge pores mechanically.
• Replace damaged, hardened or permanently blocked airline.
