In-Lite CC-2 Cable Connector – redesigned 2026 version

The In-Lite CC-2 is the system connector used to join two lengths of matching In-Lite low-voltage cable or create a branch within a garden-lighting layout. This listing is for the redesigned current-generation CC-2, manufacturer part 10600705. It replaces the earlier 10600701 version shown in older trade material.

The important change is that the new CC-2 no longer carries the previous 50VA restriction. It can therefore be used more flexibly when a main cable needs to split towards two areas of the garden. Both sides of the connector must still use the same In-Lite cable type: connect 14/2 to 14/2, or 10/2 to 10/2.

When to use a CC-2

Use a CC-2 when the cable route cannot conveniently continue as one line, for example where a circuit branches towards a terrace and a border, or where an existing cable needs to be extended with the same gauge. It is not a substitute for an EASY-LOCK: each light fitting still connects to the main cable using its own EASY-LOCK connector.

Plan the branch before cutting cable

Draw the transformer, cable route, branch and fitting positions first. Add the VA rating of every fitting connected to the transformer, choose the correct 14/2 or 10/2 cable for the run length and keep the CC-2 accessible beneath loose ground cover. Do not bury it permanently inside concrete or a sealed structure where future inspection would be difficult.

CC-2, EASY-LOCK and SPLITTER are different parts

CC-2 manages the main system cable. EASY-LOCK connects an individual fitting to that cable. A SPLITTER divides a fitting lead where compatible lights or accessories need a shared connection. Choosing the correct part avoids overloaded accessories and makes the installation easier to fault-find later.
