Elecro Optima Compact 1kW Wi-Fi Pond & Pool Heater
The Elecro Optima Compact 1kW is a premium connected electric heater for ponds, swimming pools and water features. Its titanium flow tube and titanium heating elements provide broad water compatibility, while the colour touch-screen controller allows the target temperature to be set between 0 and 45°C.
Built-in Wi-Fi and cloud connectivity allow temperature control and monitoring from a smartphone over Wi-Fi or 4G. This is useful for koi systems, hydrotherapy pools and managed installations where the owner wants visibility without standing beside the plant room.

Flow and pipework
Elecro specifies a minimum flow of 1m³/h for Optima Compact models up to 6kW and a maximum flow of 17m³/h. The heater has 1.5-inch BSP female connections and is supplied with 50mm unions/hose-tail components. Install it in a clean, full-flow section of the return circuit as instructed, with isolation that does not allow the heater to operate dry.
Is 1kW enough?
Heater size depends on water volume, required temperature rise, heat loss, insulation, cover use and ambient conditions. A 1kW heater may maintain temperature in a well-covered system but perform very differently on an exposed pond in winter. Calculate the heat loss rather than selecting by water volume alone.
Compare other Elecro in-line pond heaters and use a suitable electrical installation. This equipment must be fitted by a competent person in accordance with current regulations.

The titanium construction is intended for broad water compatibility, including saline applications within the manufacturer’s limits. Confirm the full system materials as well.
Can it be installed outdoors?
The enclosure is IP44, but the installation must follow Elecro’s siting, electrical and weather-protection instructions.
Does it include the electrical supply cable?
Electrical connection and protective devices must be specified for the exact model and installation by a competent electrician.
