This genuine Kockney Koi replacement pack contains ten glass fuses used in the Yamitsu three-way and four-way weatherproof pond switch boxes. It provides three 8A fuses for the higher-rated circuit and seven 2.5A fuses for the lower-rated circuits, with colour coding to make identification easier.

A fuse should only be replaced after the reason it failed has been found. A blocked pump, damaged cable, water ingress or appliance fault must be corrected before the circuit is re-energised. Never fit a higher-rated fuse simply to stop repeated failure: the fuse is protecting the wiring and equipment.

Why are two fuse ratings included?

The Yamitsu multi-switch boxes use one higher-rated circuit and several lower-rated circuits, so the service pack includes both 8A and 2.5A fuses.

Can I use an 8A fuse in a 2.5A outlet?

No. Always retain the fuse rating specified for the circuit. Increasing it can remove important protection from the wiring and appliance.
