TMC Pro Pond UV MAX 110 Pond Clarifier
The current 110W successor to the familiar Pro Pond Advantage UV110
TMC’s Pro Pond UV MAX 110 is the current name for the large twin-lamp unit many pond keepers still know as the Pro Pond Advantage UV110. We include both names because existing installations, manuals and searches often use the older wording. The unit combines two 55W lamps in a long, high-flow chamber for large koi ponds, commercial holding systems and substantial water features.
With 2-inch/63mm ports and a published maximum flow of 36,000 litres per hour, this is built for large-bore pipework rather than being restricted through small flexible hose. TMC’s product data gives a maximum system capacity of 72,000 litres. Treat that as an upper favourable-condition figure and reduce it for full sun, high fish loads, heavy feeding or persistent green-water pressure.

Planning a large UVC installation
Support the body and every pipe run independently, fit unions and isolation valves where they can be reached, and allow enough straight space to withdraw both lamps and quartz sleeves. The 3-bar pressure rating is not permission to trap the unit between closed valves while a powerful pump runs. Arrange the circuit so pressure cannot build dangerously.
UV is only one stage of a clear-water system. The treated algae still need to be removed by adequate mechanical filtration, while dissolved fish waste is handled biologically. Compare the smaller TMC Pro Clear Ultima units and our full TMC Pro Pond UV range.
Lamp and quartz maintenance
Isolate the electricity and water circuit, let the lamps cool, then remove them without touching the glass. Clean or renew the quartz sleeves and seals as required. Refill and pressure-test the chamber before reconnecting power. Never look directly at an illuminated UV-C lamp.
Frequently asked questions
Is UV MAX 110 the same as Advantage UV110?
It is the current 110W product family name and successor commonly associated with the older Advantage wording. Confirm part 7027 and installation details before substitution.
Does it include two lamps?
The unit is a 110W twin-lamp clarifier using two 55W UV lamps; check the current box contents and replacement-lamp type on receipt.
Can it be installed on 1.5-inch hose?
Reducing a unit designed for 2-inch/63mm plumbing wastes flow and may compromise the intended high-flow installation. Use correctly sized rigid or flexible pipework.
Will it cure poor water quality?
No. It controls suspended algae and some waterborne organisms; ammonia, nitrite, solids and oxygen demand still require filtration, testing and husbandry.
