Sicce Green Reset 25 Pressure Filter with 10W UVC
The Sicce Green Reset 25 is an all-in-one pressure filter with mechanical sponge filtration, biological media and an integrated 10W UVC. Its external cleaning handle compresses the internal sponges, allowing accumulated sludge to be flushed to waste without opening the vessel for routine cleaning.
Sicce gives a maximum pond guide of 8,000 litres for this model. Treat that as an upper starting point: fish load, direct sun, feeding, pump flow and the standard of water clarity expected all affect the appropriate size.
Three treatment stages in one filter
- Mechanical: 2 internal filter sponges trap suspended dirt.
- Biological: 80 BioBalls provide additional surface for beneficial bacteria.
- Ultraviolet: the integrated 10W UVC helps control suspended green-water algae.
Cleaning without opening the filter
Move the selector to the cleaning position, operate the handle to squeeze the sponges and discharge dirty water through the waste hose. The nutrient-rich waste water can be useful around garden plants where the pond treatment regime makes that appropriate.
Position the filter on a stable, level base. It may be partially buried, but Sicce requires the V-band clamp to remain at least 10cm above ground. Keep the selector, handle and waste connection accessible.

Plan the rest of the circuit
Use smooth, generously sized hose with the shortest practical route. The filter return can feed a waterfall within the available pressure, but excessive lift and narrow hose reduce flow. Compare our pond filter pumps and pressure filters.
Winter care: Sicce advises stopping and draining the filter below 4°C and protecting it from freezing. Follow the current manual for safe isolation, lamp replacement and quartz-sleeve cleaning.
Frequently asked questions
Does the filter include a pump?
No. The suggested pump is a sizing reference and is not included unless explicitly stated in a separate kit.
Are hoses included?
No. The current manual states that inlet, return and waste hoses must be selected separately.
Can the Green Reset be buried?
It can be partially buried, but the clamp band must remain above ground and all service controls must remain accessible.
How often should I clean it?
Clean when flow begins to fall or the waste load indicates it is needed. Frequency varies greatly with fish, feeding, season and debris.
Does a visible UV lamp mean it is still effective?
Not necessarily. Useful UVC output declines over time before visible light disappears, so replace the lamp according to the manufacturer interval.
