Oase Water Feature Reservoirs – Square and Round

Strong concealed sumps for self-contained fountains, monoliths and bubbling features

These Oase reservoirs form the hidden water store beneath a decorative water feature. The feature sits over the load-bearing lid, water falls back through the perforated surface and the pump recirculates it from the sump below. That creates a clean, self-contained installation without leaving an open pond at ground level.

There are four useful sizes in this range. The compact 60 Square suits smaller ornaments and modest pumps; the 80 Round and 90 Square provide more water and working space; the substantial 120 Square gives the greatest storage volume, flow capacity and load rating. The best choice is not simply the smallest reservoir that physically fits the feature. Allow enough stored water for splash loss and evaporation, enough lid area to catch the returning water, and enough pump access to service the system without dismantling the ornament.

Compare the reservoir sizes

Model Dimensions Capacity Maximum flow Maximum load
60 Square 610 × 610 × 254mm 75 litres 3,000 L/h 90kg
80 Round 813mm diameter × 330mm 120 litres 12,000 L/h 180kg
90 Square 900 × 900 × 330mm 160 litres 12,000 L/h 180kg
120 Square 1,200 × 1,200 × 330mm 290 litres 17,400 L/h 550kg

Choose from the feature footprint, weight and pump duty

Measure the full base of the ornament and the widest part of the water pattern. The supported load must cover the feature, stonework and any decorative gravel placed above the lid. Maximum flow is the amount the reservoir can accept; the pump still needs to be selected from the actual lift, pipe length and restriction created by the outlet. A 12,000 l/h reservoir does not mean every feature needs a 12,000 l/h pump.

For heavy features, use the Oase Eco-Rise stand to spread the load while leaving routes for hose and cable. For larger pondless waterfalls or bespoke reservoirs, compare the modular Oase Maxima blocks with an accessible Oase Pump Vault.

Installation points that prevent future problems

  • Excavate onto a stable, level and properly compacted base.
  • Keep the removable pump-access panel clear after the feature is finished.
  • Support the ornament centrally and stay within the stated load limit.
  • Route hose without tight bends and protect the electrical cable from sharp stone.
  • Test the complete return pattern before adding decorative gravel or final landscaping.
  • Use the Oase AutoFill Kit where regular evaporation or splash loss makes manual topping-up inconvenient.

Frequently asked questions

Does the pump come with the reservoir?

No. Choose a compatible clean-water feature pump from the required flow at the real working head.

Can the lid carry a heavy stone feature?

Yes, within the published load rating and with the weight correctly distributed. Do not concentrate an extreme point load on an unsupported part of the lid.

Can I bury the reservoir completely?

The body is intended to be concealed, but the pump hatch must remain accessible and the top must still collect the returning water.
