A durable level edge and capillary barrier for liner ponds, lawns and planting beds

Oase PondEdge is a flexible recycled-plastic profile used to create a controlled finished height around a liner pond. Fixed to compatible ground spikes, it follows curves more cleanly than timber and gives the liner a stable edge over which it can be folded and concealed.

A level pond rim is not merely cosmetic. Water always finds the lowest point, so a small dip can become a persistent overflow and make the pond appear to lose water. PondEdge also provides a capillary break between wet pond margins and surrounding soil, helping prevent the ground from wicking water away.

Choosing 14cm or 19cm

The 14cm profile suits many ordinary garden pond edges. Choose 19cm where additional retained depth is useful, the surrounding level varies more, or the construction needs the taller face. Both are supplied in 25m rolls and can be shaped to informal curves.

Installation method

1. Set out the intended pond perimeter and establish a consistent finished water level.
2. Install Oase PondEdge ground spikes at suitable intervals.
3. Fix the edging profile to the spikes, checking level repeatedly around the full circumference.
4. Lay underlay and liner over the finished edge without creating sharp folds.
5. Conceal the liner with turf, gravel or planting while preserving the capillary break.
