This refill contains two one-litre bags of PhosLess media for recharging the reusable Oase filter cartridges. It provides the same two-component physical nutrient-binding approach without buying another pair of plastic tubes.

Use it when testing shows that an existing PhosLess cartridge set is no longer keeping phosphate under control. The media can also be secured in an appropriate high-flow filter area, but it must not be allowed to escape into pumps or pipework.

How to use it responsibly

Remove the exhausted cartridges, open and refill them as directed, then return both units to a high-flow section of the filter. Note the replacement date and monitor phosphate. Dispose of spent media away from the pond so captured nutrients are permanently removed from the system.

• Do not mix exhausted and new granulate.
• Secure any alternative media bag so it cannot enter a pump or block the filter.

Calculate the real water volume after allowing for shelves, stone, pipework and filter chambers. If fish are distressed, oxygen is low or the water values are unsafe, stabilise the system before carrying out non-essential cosmetic treatment. Always retain the batch label and follow the current pack instructions, because formulation and regulatory directions can change.
