Longer-term physical phosphate control in a high-flow part of the filter
PhosLess uses a two-component filter medium to capture phosphate and remove the nutrient from the pond system. The pack contains two one-litre media tubes that fit the holders provided in compatible Oase BioTec ScreenMatic and ProfiClear Classic filters, or can be placed in another accessible high-flow area.
Choose the complete cartridges for first installation. Once the media is exhausted, the tubes can be re-used with the separate PhosLess refill pack, reducing waste and keeping the ongoing system straightforward.

How to use it responsibly
Place both cartridges where filtered water passes through and around them continuously. Record the installation date and monitor phosphate so replacement is based on performance rather than appearance. Remove the spent medium from the pond; leaving exhausted media in place does not permanently remove newly arriving nutrients.
- Do not obstruct the filter or place the cartridges where they can be sucked into a pump.
- Coverage falls from 40,000 litres to 10,000 litres for a stocked fish pond.
- Source-water phosphate, heavy feeding and decaying material can exhaust media more quickly.
Calculate the real water volume after allowing for shelves, stone, pipework and filter chambers. If fish are distressed, oxygen is low or the water values are unsafe, stabilise the system before carrying out non-essential cosmetic treatment. Always retain the batch label and follow the current pack instructions, because formulation and regulatory directions can change.
