PhosLess Direct physically binds phosphate, one of the nutrients that supports repeated algae growth. It also binds hydrogen sulphide associated with unpleasant pond odours. The powder is scattered directly over the water and is intended for a rapid response to an elevated phosphate reading.
Use it after testing confirms excess phosphate, particularly in spring or after an algae treatment has released nutrients back into the system. It is not an algaecide and will not instantly remove established blanket weed; its purpose is to reduce the nutrient available for regrowth.
