AlGo Direct is designed for direct contact with localised string algae and blanket weed. Instead of treating every litre for a general algae problem, the granulate is applied to visible growth in specific areas such as a stream, shallow shelf, waterfall or patch around rockwork.

Choose it where the target is clearly identifiable and can be treated safely. Its active effect works quickly and then breaks down, making it a more precise option than a broad water-column treatment for isolated filamentous algae.

How to use it responsibly

Remove the bulk of the weed first, confirm KH and the other label conditions, switch off or protect equipment only as directed, and apply the exact measured quantity to the target areas. Maintain strong aeration and remove dead material before it burdens the filter.

• Use biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use.
• Do not scatter a guessed quantity around the whole pond.
• Avoid direct contact with desirable submerged plants.
• Do not treat when fish are already gasping or oxygen is marginal.

Calculate the real water volume after allowing for shelves, stone, pipework and filter chambers. If fish are distressed, oxygen is low or the water values are unsafe, stabilise the system before carrying out non-essential cosmetic treatment. Always retain the batch label and follow the current pack instructions, because formulation and regulatory directions can change.
