A fast-sinking complete 2mm pellet for sturgeon, tench and lower-feeding fish

This is the 2 mm fast-sinking Pond Food, supplied in a 300 g pack. Its 45% protein and 18% fat recipe differs from the larger Medikoi Sturgeon pellets. Feed where you can check that the intended fish receive it; surface-feeding fish can take sinking pellets before they reach the bottom. Remove uneaten food and follow the pack’s species-specific seasonal directions.

Managing the daily ration

Begin with small portions and watch the fish feeding before adding more. The manufacturer’s stated consumption time is a limit for a portion, not an instruction to keep adding food throughout that period. Remove leftovers and reduce feeding when appetite or water quality deteriorates.

Introduce a new food gradually and monitor water quality when increasing feeding. Observe smaller and less assertive fish as well as the strongest feeders. Good nutrition works alongside suitable filtration, oxygen and pond maintenance.

For sinking pellets, check that food reaches the intended fish. Feed competing fish separately where necessary and observe the feeding area below the surface; pellets disappearing from view are not proof they have been eaten.

Storage and freshness

Keep food sealed in its original packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use a clean, dry scoop and keep pond water out of the pack. Follow the best-before date and the current label’s instructions.
