NT Labs FountainShine is a specialist cleaner for decorative water features made from plastic, stone, concrete, resin, metal or fibreglass. It is intended for cloudy, dirty, stained or green feature water and can be used periodically to maintain a cleaner appearance.

How to use it well

1. Confirm that no fish, frogs, newts or aquatic plants are present or connected to the feature.
2. Test an inconspicuous area of the feature material first.
3. Measure the dose using the scoop and current label.
4. Add while the feature is circulating for good distribution.
5. Repeat only at the interval stated on the current pack.

Always calculate the real water volume and follow the current label supplied with the product. Pond volumes should allow for shelves, stonework, filter chambers and pipework. Never increase a treatment dose simply because the water has not changed as quickly as expected.

• Do not use in fish ponds, planted ponds or wildlife ponds.
• The product can bleach and may damage clothing, furnishings or unsuitable surfaces.
• Do not mix with acids or other cleaners.
• Prevent splash transfer into nearby ponds and follow all label safety instructions.

Test water before treating. Ammonia and nitrite should be zero in a mature stocked pond, while pH and KH should be stable. Treatments can support a sound system, but they cannot compensate for inadequate circulation, oxygen, filtration or excessive feeding.
