Norfine 28cm White Culling Net
A compact round net with a wooden handle
The Norfine 28cm White Culling Net combines a round head, white netting and a short wooden handle. The head measures 28cm across, making it the smaller of the two white culling nets in this range. A metal collar connects the wooden handle to the frame.
This style of net is intended for close work beside a bowl or holding container, where you can position the head without needing a long pole. Choose the head size around the fish and the available working space, with enough room to move the frame freely.

Choosing between the two head sizes
The 28cm head takes up less space inside a container than the Norfine 38cm White Culling Net. Compare the opening of your bowl and the room around its sides before deciding. Head diameter describes the frame size; it does not tell you how far a net can reach across a pond.
If your working position is above or away from the water, browse our wider pond nets range for longer-handled alternatives. Plan the approach so that you can work steadily without leaning across the pond.
Prepare before handling fish
Set up the receiving container before you begin. Our koi bowls and holding vats provide options for inspection and temporary holding. Keep the route clear and place equipment where it can be reached comfortably.
Check the netting for tears or snags and make sure the handle attachment is secure. Move calmly and avoid repeatedly chasing fish. When transferring larger koi between containers, consider a suitably sized Norfine koi sock net as part of your handling equipment.
Looking after the net
Rinse away debris after use and allow the net to dry before putting it away. Store it clear of sharp edges and hooks that can catch the mesh. Avoid leaving the wooden handle immersed in water during storage, and check the frame and attachment again before the next use.
