Hikari Wheatgerm Koi Food

Floating Wheat-Germ pellets for feeding from 5°C

Hikari Wheat-Germ Floating is a complete koi and pond-fish food for cooler conditions and occasions when an easily digested diet is wanted. Its guaranteed analysis differs from the sinking version: floating food declares minimum protein 32%, whereas the sinking formula declares 30%. Select the format as well as the pellet and pack size.

Feeding guidance

Hikari UK allows feeding from 5°C, with no feeding below 5°C. From 5–18°C, feed no more than twice daily, preferably during the warmer part of the day. At 18–30°C, its guide suggests 2–4 feeds daily. Offer only what is consumed within five minutes and reduce the ration if appetite slows.

Guaranteed nutritional analysis

• Crude protein: 32% minimum
• Crude fat: 4% minimum
• Moisture: 10% maximum
• Crude ash: 12% maximum
• Phosphorus: 0.7% minimum

Minimum and maximum figures are guaranteed limits, rather than the exact nutrient content of every pellet. Check the declaration on the supplied pack when comparing recipes.

Choosing a pack and keeping it fresh

Bag Size: 2kg, 5kg, 10kg; Pellet Size: Large Pellet, Medium Pellet, Small Pellet. Select the required option to see its price and current availability. Choose a pack you can use while fresh, and make sure the pellet size suits the smallest fish you intend to feed.

Keep the food sealed in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Use a dry scoop, prevent pond water entering the pack and discard food that has become damp or spoiled. Continue checking the fish and water quality when changing food or increasing the ration.
