A two-metre extension cable for the compatible Excellent control-box connection

This Filtreau Excellent extension cable provides a 2-metre cable length for a compatible Excellent control-box connection. It is intended for use when arranging the control equipment around an existing filter installation. Before ordering, compare the connection on your equipment with the extension required.

Planning the cable route

Measure the route the cable will actually follow, including bends, supports and the space needed to reach the connection. The straight-line distance between two components can be shorter than the practical cable route. Allow access for servicing so a connector can be reached without pulling on the cable or moving other equipment.

Keep the route clear of sharp edges, moving components and points where a cabinet door or filter cover could trap the cable. Support the cable appropriately and avoid placing strain on the connectors. An extension should improve the layout while preserving access to the controller and the equipment it serves.

Identifying the right connection

The Excellent control system has connections serving different functions. Check the existing cable end and equipment label before selecting an extension. If you need help, send us clear photographs of the controller label and both sides of the connection you want to extend, together with the filter model.

Fitting and checking

Disconnect the electrical supply before changing connections. Follow the instructions for the installed equipment and have electrical work or fault-finding undertaken by a suitably qualified person. Do not modify connectors to make an incompatible connection fit.
