Cloverleaf Absolute Adult Sturgeon & Sterlet Food is a sinking 4.5 mm diet with 49% protein and 10% fat. The manufacturer identifies aquatic animal protein, including shrimp and fish protein, as central to this food. It is a separate recipe from the smaller Junior food, which has a different protein declaration.

Pack choice and feeding access

Choose from the current 1 kg, 3 kg, 5 kg and 8 kg options. Match the pellet to the fish’s mouth size and buy a quantity that can be used while fresh. In a mixed pond, offer koi and goldfish their own food at the opposite end before feeding the sturgeon, then check that the sinking pellets reach the intended fish.

Feeding guidance

Cloverleaf advises feeding amounts consumed within five minutes and permits feeding down to 4°C. Base the quantity on the sturgeon’s actual appetite and water conditions. Their feeding routine may differ from the koi in the same pond, so observe them separately instead of assuming a quiet surface means all fish have stopped feeding.

Remove uneaten food and check water quality when increasing the ration. Food disappearing below the surface is not proof that it has been eaten. Introduce changes gradually and investigate a persistent loss of appetite.

Storage and freshness

Keep the pack sealed, cool and dry, away from sunlight. Use a clean, dry scoop and prevent pond water entering the food. Follow the best-before date and the storage instructions on the supplied pack.
