Cloverleaf Absolute Koi Treats are insect-based floating foods supplied in 850 g packs, with Garlic and Orange choices. Cloverleaf states that both contain no fish meal or fish oils. They offer a different texture alongside the normal diet, with 45% protein and 12% fat in the published declaration.

Choosing Garlic or Orange

The Garlic treat is made in three larva-like shapes, with a stated size range of 6–8 mm. Cloverleaf says it softens as it absorbs water while retaining its shape. The Orange version is a 6 mm floating pellet. Select the flavour before adding the pack to your basket; the two choices should not both be described as 8 mm pellets.

Feeding guidance

The manufacturer suggests two to three small feeds daily, each cleared within a few minutes. Use treats as part of the planned ration alongside the normal food, rather than adding them on top of unrestricted pellet feeding. Follow the pack’s seasonal directions and reduce feeding as appetite falls.

Remove uneaten food and check water quality when increasing the ration. Food disappearing below the surface is not proof that it has been eaten. Introduce changes gradually and investigate a persistent loss of appetite.

Storage and freshness

Keep the pack sealed, cool and dry, away from sunlight. Use a clean, dry scoop and prevent pond water entering the food. Follow the best-before date and the storage instructions on the supplied pack.
