Cloverleaf Automatic Pond Fish Feeder

Pellet feeder with mains, battery and solar-assisted operation

The Cloverleaf Automatic Fish Feeder provides scheduled portions for ponds and large indoor aquatic systems. Its hopper holds approximately 5–6 kg of Cloverleaf Absolute 4 mm or 6 mm food; other pellets can occupy a different volume for the same weight. The supplied chutes provide a choice of food distribution at the pond.

Food compatibility and main features

  • Suitable for dry 2–12 mm pellets.
  • Internal agitator helps food flow through the hopper.
  • Parabola distribution chute and pond-side drop chute.
  • Output adjustment using supplied reduction cubes.
  • Mains and battery operation with automatic power switching.
  • Solar-assisted charging.
  • IP55-rated housing and supplied mounting brackets.
  • Two-year manufacturer guarantee, subject to its terms.

Dried shrimp, live insects and irregular foods are excluded by the manual. Use a suitable pellet formula and check its own temperature guidance before programming the feeder.

Feeding schedules and portions

The preset schedules include up to eight feeds daily. The manual separately describes one to six custom daily feeding times. Choose the mode that suits your intended schedule.

The volume setting controls shutter operations per meal. Reduction cubes make each portion smaller: the manual gives approximately 30 g without cubes, reducing towards 5 g with five cubes. These are examples, not guaranteed weights for every food.

Collect and weigh several portions using the actual pellets before relying on a setting. Calculate the daily total across all scheduled meals, including any hand feeding. If you add feeding times, reduce individual portions where necessary to keep the intended ration unchanged.

Power and solar charging

Mains supply takes priority when mains and batteries are used together, with automatic switching to battery power if mains power is lost. Solar charging depends on the weather and may need periodic mains charging. After complete power loss, the clock returns to 12:00 and needs resetting.

Installation and maintenance

Fit the supplied rain cover for outdoor use and keep the power supply under cover. Secure the mounting supports, keep the food dry and position the feeder away from fountain spray. Do not submerge it.

Use the instructions for the supplied model when fitting its chutes, reducers and power accessories. Check the hopper and outlet regularly for damp or stuck food. A full hopper is useful only while the food remains fresh and dispenses reliably.

Build a measured feeding routine

Start with a modest ration and watch several complete feeding cycles. Increase feeding only when fish are taking the food and water quality remains suitable. The maximum schedule is not a target for every pond, and an automatic feeder does not replace checks on the fish and filtration.

Before a holiday, test the programme over several days and arrange pond checks while you are away. Recalibrate after changing the food or pellet size. Keep treats within the planned daily ration.
