The Blagdon Pond Oxygenator 1800, 2400 and 3600 are outdoor air pumps supplied with multi-outlet manifolds for distributing air around a pond. They are designed for installations that need considerably more air than the small complete oxygenator kits.
We use air pumps to support fish during warm weather, help biological filtration, reduce stagnant areas and provide emergency aeration when treatments or water-quality problems lower dissolved oxygen. Air is not a substitute for filtration, but it is one of the most useful safeguards on a stocked pond.

Air output falls as depth and pipe resistance increase. Long narrow airline, restrictive non-return valves, worn diaphragms and blocked air stones all reduce delivery, so size the system for the deepest diffuser and the complete airline layout.
What is included—and what is not
Each of these larger pumps is supplied with the stated multi-outlet air fitting. Airline and air stones are not listed in the official pack contents, so plan those separately. This is useful on a custom pond because you can choose the correct diffuser size, airline length and non-return protection rather than paying for parts that do not suit the layout.
Installation advice
- Keep the air pump above the maximum pond-water level whenever practical.
- If it must sit lower, fit suitable non-return valves to reduce siphon risk.
- Provide ventilation and do not enclose the pump in an airtight box.
- Use the largest sensible airline on long runs and avoid sharp kinks.
- Service the pump when output falls or noise increases; do not wait for complete diaphragm failure.
