Choose the diameter and height together

The same diameter can be available at more than one height. A 150cm-diameter vat, for example, comes in both 60cm and 100cm heights. Check both measurements before ordering, especially where access, handling or a matching cover matters. Allow working room around the vat for equipment, inspection and maintenance.

Published water volumes

The table lists AquaForte’s published volumes for the range. Actual water volume depends on the fill level and any equipment inside the vat. Measure the water added when you need an accurate operating volume; do not assume the vat is filled to its published capacity. These figures describe the vessel and do not establish how many koi it can safely hold.

Construction and storage

AquaForte specifies a 1mm liner for the Quality Koi Vat range and describes the vats as quick to set up and dismantle. Empty and clean the vat before taking it apart, allow it to dry, and store the liner where sharp objects cannot damage it. Follow the assembly instructions supplied with the vat and inspect the liner and supports before use.

Plan the temporary pond before moving fish

Choose a level, secure position with a base suitable for the filled vat. Plan aeration, filtration and water-quality monitoring before transferring fish. A vat supplies the container; the life-support equipment must be selected separately for the fish, the operating volume and the length of their stay. Keep access clear so routine checks and water changes are practical.

Using a vat for quarantine

A separate vessel helps you keep fish apart, but successful quarantine also depends on how it is managed. Keep nets and other handling equipment separate, monitor the water and inspect the fish regularly. Make sure the temporary system is ready before fish arrive rather than assembling it after a problem develops.

This listing supplies the selected vat. Cover nets are separate accessories and are matched by vat diameter. The supplier photograph is a representative image of the range; choose the required dimensions from the size selector. Fish, filters, air pumps and other pond equipment pictured or discussed are not included.
