MultiClear is a pump-fed, gravity-return filter arrangement. The outlet must return without being forced uphill or restricted, so its installation layout differs from a sealed pressure filter.

Filter-only or complete set?

A complete set is useful for a new pond because the supplied components are intended to work together. Filter-only is better when replacing an existing box or when the pump has already been selected from a known duty point. In either case, check the real pond volume, fish load and delivered pump flow.

Positioning the gravity return

Place the filter so its clean-water outlet can fall freely back to the pond. Do not reduce or extend the gravity return in a way that causes the box to back up. Keep the lid, media and drain accessible; hiding the filter so completely that it cannot be serviced usually leads to neglected maintenance.

Rinse dirty mechanical foams in removed pond water, clean only as required and replace physically degraded media with the exact model-specific set. The UVC supports green-water control but does not replace mechanical cleaning or biological maturity.
