Cleaning a planted raised pond
We cleaned this raised garden pond in Hollingbourne, near Maidstone, on 10 September 2021. Planting covered much of the surface when we arrived. Draining the pond gave us access to clean the liner and work around the central brick support.
The finished photograph was taken while the pond was refilling. It shows the cleaned liner and the space that had been hidden beneath the planting.
Advice that suits the pond
Every pond is different. With a compact raised pond, we look at how much room the plants have taken up and how easily the owner can reach the water and equipment for routine care. That helps us recommend a sensible level of maintenance.
