Opening up the ponds again
We worked on these garden ponds in Chatham in August 2021. Dense planting had spread over the edges and across much of the water. The clean brought the shapes of the ponds back into view and made a noticeable difference to this corner of the garden.
The wider before and after photographs show how the ponds sit beside one another. The closer view shows the rectangular pond once it had been cleaned.
Practical pond care
Overgrown planting can hide what is happening below the surface. When we assess a pond like this, we look at both the planting and the condition of the water and equipment, so we can explain what needs attention.
