Airline length, airline bore, diffuser depth, manifold taps and back pressure all affect the real airflow that reaches the pond or filter. A well matched aeration system runs more quietly, puts less strain on the pump and gives more dependable oxygen support.

• Use suitable airline size for the pump output and distance involved.
• Keep the air pump dry, ventilated and protected from flooding.
