Oase Profi Pond Net 2-in-1 and Replacement Nets
Fine surface cleaning and coarser collection with one telescopic pond tool
The Oase Profi Pond Net 2-in-1 gives you two interchangeable nets for different cleaning jobs. Use the shallow fine mesh for small loose debris near the surface, then fit the deeper coarse net when you need to collect larger pieces of plant material. The complete set includes the telescopic handle and both net types. Separate fine and coarse replacement inserts are also available here, so a worn or damaged bag need not mean replacing the whole tool.
Choose the Complete 2-in-1 Net if you need the handle and collection head. If you already own the Oase Profi model 95908, choose the replacement mesh you need. The replacement options are net inserts and do not include another handle. This makes the range useful both for setting up your pond-cleaning equipment and for maintaining an existing net.
What each option includes
| Option | Contents and mesh |
|---|---|
| Complete 2-in-1 Net (95908) | Profi pond net with telescopic handle and both inserts. Fine: 0.3mm mesh, 10cm deep. Coarse: 4–5mm mesh, 20cm deep. |
| Fine Replacement Net (95909) | One fine insert for Profi 95908. 0.3mm mesh; 10cm deep. Handle not included. |
| Coarse Replacement Net (98341) | One coarse insert for Profi 95908. 4–5mm mesh; 20cm deep. Handle not included. |
The complete net has a rectangular head measuring 40 × 30cm. Its aluminium telescopic handle adjusts from 113cm to 190cm, with a maximum overall tool length of 230cm. Overall length includes the head; it is not an extra 230cm of handle. Oase lists a two-year guarantee for the complete net, subject to its guarantee conditions.
When to use the fine insert
The fine insert is intended for smaller loose material and surface skimming. Its shallow bag makes collected debris easy to see and remove, while the close mesh retains particles that would pass through the coarser insert. It is a useful choice after trimming pond plants or when tidying small floating pieces from accessible water.
Keep your passes light and controlled. Fine mesh can become covered with material, so empty and rinse it regularly instead of continuing to push a clogged net through the water. Work around delicate stems and planting baskets, taking care not to pull rooted plants out while collecting nearby debris.
When to use the coarse insert
The coarse insert gives you a deeper bag and larger mesh openings. It is suited to collecting larger material while allowing smaller particles and water to pass through more readily. Changing inserts lets you choose the collection method around the task rather than using the finest mesh for every job.
A deeper bag provides more space, but keep each load manageable. Wet leaves and other debris can become heavy, particularly at full extension. Take several smaller collections and bring the head towards you before lifting it clear. Avoid treating the net as a scoop for stones or as a lever for moving heavy submerged objects.
Choosing a comfortable working reach
The adjustable handle lets you shorten the tool for nearby work and extend it to reach further across the pond. Start with the shortest useful setting, check the locking section is secure and stand on a stable surface. Allow for raised coping, planting margins and the angle of the handle when estimating the area you can reach comfortably.
A long net does not remove the need for safe access around the pond. Move to another suitable position rather than leaning across the water or stretching beyond a comfortable stance. Where a broad planted shelf restricts access, consider the route the net will take back out as well as the distance into the pond.
Replacing a worn or damaged net
Inspect the mesh and its attachment before use. A torn bag may release the material you have just collected, while damage at the edge can worsen as the net is used. For the Profi 95908 system, select fine insert 95909 or coarse insert 98341 according to the cleaning work you do most often.
Fit the replacement to the existing assembly in accordance with the instructions supplied with the net. Check that it sits evenly and is secure before returning it to the water. Keep the original model or part number with your maintenance records; the word “Profi” alone is less useful than the exact number when ordering parts for an older net.
Cleaning and storing the tool
Rinse the insert after use and remove trapped leaves, twigs and grit. Let the net dry before storage, and keep sharp tools away from the mesh. Clean the telescopic sections before retracting them so abrasive grit is not drawn into the moving parts. Store the spare insert somewhere dry and protected, ready for the next change of task.
If you maintain more than one pond, include equipment cleaning and appropriate disinfection in your routine. A collection net is useful for removing visible solids, but it does not replace filtration or water testing. For waste settled on the pond floor, a suitable pond vacuum may be a more practical tool than repeatedly disturbing the bottom with a net.
