Self Cleaning UV Clarifier for Clear and Healthy Pond Water

The Oase Bitron C 24 Watt UVC is a high performance ultraviolet clarifier designed to eliminate green water and reduce harmful bacteria in ponds up to 25000 litres. It targets suspended algae directly and, as a result, restores water clarity while supporting a healthier aquatic environment.

Unlike basic UV units, the Bitron C 24W features a patented automatic cleaning rotor. As water flows through the unit, the rotor continuously moves around the quartz sleeve. Consequently, it prevents debris and limescale from settling on the glass, which ensures the UV output remains strong and consistent.

The integrated bypass system allows high flow rates while maintaining optimal irradiation time. Because of this design, up to 3500 litres per hour can pass the UV tube without bypassing the radiation zone. In addition, you can adjust the flow individually using the built in throttle handle to match your pump and filter setup.

The unit includes a clear inspection window, so you can check the bulb at any time. Furthermore, the intelligent function monitor indicates bulb operation and reminds you when a replacement is required. Integrated magnets also help protect the UV technology from limescale build up, which improves long term reliability.

Safety remains a priority. The quick release closure allows easy bulb access, while a built in safety switch automatically deactivates the UV lamp when opened. Therefore, it prevents accidental exposure and meets strict VDE safety standards.

UV sizing and maintenance notes

Oase Bitron C 24 Watt UVC should be matched to the pond volume, flow rate and water clarity problem you are trying to solve. UV clarification works best when water passes the lamp at a suitable speed and the quartz sleeve is kept clean. If the flow is too fast, contact time can be reduced. If the lamp is old or the quartz sleeve is dirty, performance can drop even when the unit still appears to be switched on.

• Replace UV lamps as part of routine seasonal maintenance.
• Clean or inspect the quartz sleeve when water clarity starts to deteriorate.
• Match the UV to the pump and filter rather than installing it in isolation.
