Oase Aquarius Fountain Set Classic 1000
Compact 11W fountain pump with three water patterns
The Oase Aquarius Fountain Set Classic 1000 brings a choice of fountain effects to a garden pond in one compact set. It combines a submersible pump, telescopic fountain tube and three interchangeable nozzles, with a second adjustable outlet for a small water feature. The GB model is Oase part 57438. Its maximum flow is 1,000 litres per hour and maximum head is 1.3 metres, with an 11W power rating and a 10-metre power cable.
This is a fountain set for creating a visible display, rather than a bare replacement pump for an existing fountain assembly. The included tube and nozzle selection let you adjust the appearance to suit the pond and its surroundings. Choose the pump against the display you want, the position of the water surface and any additional feature you intend to connect.
Three included fountain nozzles
Oase supplies Vulcan, Lava and Magma fountain attachments. Changing the attachment gives you a different water pattern without replacing the pump. The telescopic extension adjusts the nozzle position, while its swivel head helps align the fountain when the supporting surface is not perfectly level. Mechanical regulation allows the fountain output to be adjusted to the setting.
Leave enough room around the fountain for falling water to return to the pond. A display positioned close to the edge can throw water outside the liner, particularly in wind. Begin with a modest setting, observe where the water lands, and adjust the position and flow before settling on the finished display. The most suitable pattern depends on the shape of the pond as well as the pump’s output.
A separately adjustable second outlet
The second pressure-side outlet allows a fountain and an additional water feature to operate from the same pump. Oase describes it as suitable for a small watercourse or water spout. The included stepped hose connection accommodates 13mm, 19mm and 25mm hose, corresponding to nominal ½-inch, ¾-inch and 1-inch sizes.
Both outlets share the pump’s available output. Connecting a second feature does not provide another independent 1,000 litres per hour. The height and resistance of that feature affect the result, so consider both outlets together when planning the installation. Keep a hose route as direct as practical, avoid tight bends, and check that the selected hose fits the relevant step of the connector securely.
Understanding flow and head
The maximum flow and maximum head are different endpoints of pump performance. The 1,000-litre-per-hour rating does not mean that the pump delivers that quantity at a height of 1.3 metres. Available flow reduces as the lift and resistance increase. A nozzle, hose, bend or connected water feature adds resistance, and splitting the supply between outlets changes the display.
Measure the required lift from the operating water surface to the discharge point and allow for the hose route. If the installation needs more output than this compact model can provide, compare a larger fountain pump before buying. A larger pond does not automatically require a larger fountain; the intended display and the water’s route are the more useful starting points for this type of pump.

Positioning and routine care
The supporting feet provide a stable base for positioning the pump in the pond. Place it where the intake remains clear and the fountain can be reached for maintenance. Avoid burying the housing in silt or surrounding it with loose material that obstructs the intake. Route the power cable so it is protected from damage and does not become a trip hazard. Follow the supplied instructions for installation and electrical connection.
Leaves, algae and other pond debris can restrict the intake or fountain nozzle. If the display weakens or becomes uneven, isolate the electrical supply before inspecting and cleaning the relevant parts. Check the water level, intake, nozzle and any connected hose rather than immediately assuming that the pump has failed. Regular inspection is particularly useful during leaf fall and periods of rapid algae growth.
Built-in thermal protection is included, but it is not a substitute for correct installation or a clear intake. Keep the pump operating under the conditions specified in its manual, and follow Oase’s maintenance and seasonal storage guidance. Retain the product details and purchase record so the correct model can be identified when ordering replacement parts or seeking guarantee support.
Choosing the right Aquarius pump
The Classic 1000 suits a compact fountain installation where its output and head meet the planned display. Oase also produces Aquarius Universal pumps, which are a different range, so check the full product name when comparing equipment. Match the set to the fountain and any second outlet together, rather than choosing solely by the largest flow number in the name.
Compare the Aquarius Fountain Set Classic 750 for a smaller option, or the Aquarius Fountain Set Classic 2000 E when you need a larger fountain set. Check each model’s performance against your installation before deciding.
