AquaForte Inver-B-Quiet IQ15 Pool Pump

Water-cooled inverter pump with adjustable operation, WiFi and Bluetooth

The AquaForte Inver-B-Quiet IQ15 is an inverter-controlled swimming-pool circulation pump. Its water-cooled design combines adjustable operation with an integrated flow meter and power-use display, helping you monitor the pump as part of your pool filtration system.

IQ15 specifications

Timer 24-hour timer with four speed programmes
Saltwater-pool concentration limit 35g/l

Match the pump to your filtration system

Maximum flow and maximum head describe different ends of a pump’s performance range. They should not be treated as a single operating point. To select the IQ15, compare the circulation your pool needs with the resistance created by the pipework, filter and other connected equipment.

The 30–90m³ figure is AquaForte’s guidance for swimming pools. For an existing system, check the filter’s permitted flow and the duty of the pump being replaced. This makes the intended operating flow a more useful basis for selection than choosing from pool volume alone.

Scheduling and backwashing

The 24-hour timer offers four speed programmes, while the integrated displays show flow and power use. A one-touch backwash function is also provided. Set normal circulation and backwashing to suit the requirements of the connected filter, keeping access to the controls clear for routine maintenance.

See flow and power use together

The built-in flow meter displays circulation in cubic metres per hour. Alongside the power reading, this gives you two useful measurements when adjusting the pump: how much water is moving and how much electrical power the pump is using. A lower power reading is only useful if the resulting flow still meets the needs of the filter and any other connected equipment.

When commissioning an adjustable pump, establish the required circulation first, then review the power reading at that setting. Keep a note of the normal readings for your system. This gives you a practical reference when reviewing the schedule or discussing performance with your installer.

Control from your phone or tablet

WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity are built into the IQ15. AquaForte describes control from a smartphone or tablet, allowing settings to be adjusted through a connected device. The pump also has its own display, so the current flow and power information can be read at the equipment.

Choose the pump location with access in mind. Leave room to read the display and reach the controls, and consider wireless coverage at the proposed position before installation. Metal equipment enclosures and distance from the house can affect the practical reach of a wireless connection.

Noise and energy figures

AquaForte quotes a sound level of 30dB(A) at one metre and identifies the measurement as TĂœV Rheinland tested. It also advertises energy savings of up to 90% compared with traditional pool pumps. These are manufacturer performance claims: the saving in a particular pool depends on the previous pump, the selected operating conditions and the circulation schedule.

For a useful running-cost comparison, compare pumps at the flow your system requires. Electricity use over a day also depends on the number of hours spent at each setting. The IQ15’s power display and programmable timer help you review those settings together.

Saltwater pool use

The manufacturer specifies suitability for saltwater pools with a concentration up to 35g/l. Check the pool’s operating salinity and the limits of the other equipment in the circuit when planning a system. The pump’s saltwater rating does not change the requirements of the filter, heater or any other connected component.

Plan the rest of the pool system

Compare the IQ15 with our swimming pool pumps when choosing a new circulation pump or replacing an existing unit. Check pipe connections, available installation space and the required operating flow before ordering.

If the circuit includes swimming pool heating, include the heater’s permitted flow range in that assessment. You can also browse our wider swimming pool equipment for the other parts of your system.
