Feeding guidance

The manufacturer’s published label gives three or four feeds a day when water exceeds 6°C or fish are actively seeking food, limited to an amount taken within five minutes. Feed only while the fish are actively taking food and follow the directions on the supplied pack. Start with small portions and remove leftovers.

Adjust the total daily amount to appetite and water conditions. Several small feeds should divide the ration rather than multiply it. Introduce changes gradually and monitor water quality when increasing food after a cooler period.
