Junior 4.5 mm and Adult 6 mm formulas explained separately

Kiyomizu Sinking is offered in two pellet sizes, and the manufacturer publishes a different formula for each. The 4.5 mm option is Junior Sinking, with 45% protein and 9% fat. The 6 mm option is Adult Sinking, with 40% protein and 8% fat. Both are complete koi feeds. Feeding and storage

Follow the feeding guidance on the pack and adjust portions to water temperature, fish activity and water quality. Start with a modest amount and watch the feeding response before increasing the ration. Remove uneaten food and reduce the next portion if pellets remain. Keep food cool, dry and sealed; prevent pond water from entering the pack.

With sinking food, check the feeding area carefully: pellets can disappear from view without being eaten. In deeper ponds or near bottom drains, feed where you can observe the fish and avoid adding a second portion simply because the surface looks clear.

The manufacturer’s declarations include bentonite. Its label directions advise against coating bentonite-containing feed with antibiotics because the clay can affect their effectiveness.
