Pond liner replacement and wall repairs in Mitcham
Matt’s team came to install a new liner and moved my fish into their holding pond. Unfortunately, not only had next doors tree roots penetrated the old liner, it had also broken one side of the pond wall. I had another smaller filter which they moved and hooked up to the holding pond, also an air filter. Matt then arranged his builders to attend a few days later to get rid of the tree roots and rebuild the wall. His previous team then came back to install the liner and return the fish. They were all easy to get along with which really made the rebuild a pleasure. Top marks Matt & his team.
We were called to replace the liner in this raised koi pond in Mitcham. Once the old liner and underlay were out, a tree root was found to have damaged one of the walls. The wall needed repairing before the new liner could go in.
About this work
Where: Mitcham, Surrey
Work: Pond wall repairs and liner replacement
When: September–October 2026
Looking after the fish while the wall was repaired
We moved the fish into a holding tank and connected the customer’s spare filter while the building work was arranged. The damaged wall was then rebuilt and supported. We returned to fit the new liner, reconnect the filtration and put the fish back in the pond.
The photograph was added to our job record on 18 October, with the reline complete and the fish back in the pond. The customer’s review describes the extra work needed when the damaged wall was uncovered and how the visits were organised.
We also offer pond cleaning across Surrey.
