Takazumi Easy is a complete sinking koi food developed for periods when koi are less active and require a lighter, more digestible diet. Unlike ordinary floating pellets, Takazumi Easy sinks through the water column, allowing koi that are feeding lower in the pond to take the food in a calmer and more natural way.
The formula is particularly useful during cooler parts of the year, when richer high-growth foods are no longer appropriate, and it can also be used as a transitional food when moving into or out of the main summer feeding season. Its wheatgerm-based approach supports efficient digestion while still providing the essential nutrition required to maintain condition.
Why choose Takazumi Easy?
This food is best suited to koi that are feeding steadily rather than aggressively. The sinking pellet format can help timid fish and koi that are reluctant to compete at the surface, but it must be fed carefully because uneaten pellets are less visible than floating food. Feeding guidance
Always base feeding on the actual pond-water temperature and the behaviour of the fish. Feed only what the koi will clear promptly, reduce the amount as temperatures fall and stop feeding if the fish are inactive or ignoring food. In ponds with strong circulation or a bottom drain, choose the feeding position carefully so the pellets are not pulled away before the koi can eat them.
As with every complete koi diet, the amount fed must match the maturity of the biological filter and the available oxygen. Regularly test ammonia and nitrite, particularly when increasing feeding after winter.
