Yamitsu Bombay Mix Pond Food
Complete floating mix of small pellets and larger pond sticks
Yamitsu Bombay Mix is a complete floating pond fish food containing a mixture of small pellets and larger pond sticks. The varied shapes and sizes make it a practical everyday food for mixed garden ponds containing koi, goldfish and other ornamental fish of different sizes.
Despite the name and the visual variety of the mix, Bombay Mix should not be classified as a koi treat. It is intended as a complete food and can form the main feeding ration when used according to water temperature, fish activity and pond conditions.
Mixed food sizes for mixed ponds
The blend includes approximately 2mm pellets and 16mm sticks. Smaller fish can take the pellet portion while larger koi and pond fish feed on the sticks, helping distribute food across a mixed collection. As with any mixed-size food, watch the fish carefully to make sure one group is not taking the majority of the feed.
The floating format makes it easier to monitor appetite, inspect the fish and remove uneaten food before it breaks down. It also helps prevent food disappearing into gravel or being carried straight towards a bottom drain.
Available pack sizes
Yamitsu Bombay Mix is available in 2kg and 5kg bags. Choose the size that suits the number of fish and can be used while the food remains fresh.
Feeding guidance
Feed little and often, offering only what the fish will consume promptly. Adjust the quantity to water temperature and activity, and reduce feeding if ammonia or nitrite is detected. Store the food sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and damp.
Balanced feeding across a mixed pond
Because Bombay Mix combines small pellets with larger sticks, spread the food over more than one feeding point. This gives smaller fish a better chance of taking the pellet portion while larger or more confident fish feed on the sticks. The mixed appearance does not change the need for controlled portions: increase feeding only when appetite, water temperature, dissolved oxygen and biological filtration can support it.
