Takazumi Vital is a complete koi food developed to stimulate the fish’s natural immune system and support improved resistance to infection. Rather than being positioned as a generic staple or an intensive high-growth diet, Vital is intended for keepers who want to place health, condition and resilience at the centre of the feeding programme.

The food is supplied as a 5mm floating pellet, allowing you to monitor appetite and inspect the koi while they feed. This is particularly valuable when using a health-focused diet, because changes in feeding response can provide an early indication that an individual fish is not behaving normally.

When is Takazumi Vital useful?

Vital can form part of a considered all-season feeding routine when water temperature and fish activity permit. It may be particularly useful during periods of stress, after changes to the pond, or when maintaining strong general condition is more important than encouraging the fastest possible growth.

Food alone cannot prevent or cure disease. Good water quality, stable temperature, adequate oxygen, appropriate stocking levels and mature biological filtration remain fundamental. A health-supporting food works best as one part of that wider pond-management programme.

Available sizes

Takazumi Vital is available in 4.5kg and 10kg bags with a medium 5mm floating pellet. The pellet size is suitable for established koi that can comfortably take a 5mm feed.

Feeding guidance

Feed only what the koi will consume promptly and adjust the amount to water temperature and activity. Several modest feeds are preferable to allowing excess food to remain in the pond. Remove uneaten pellets and reduce feeding immediately if ammonia or nitrite is present.

Store the bag tightly sealed in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and moisture. Avoid purchasing a bag so large that it remains open for an unnecessarily long period.
