The Filtreau Combi Filter PF20 Pump Fed Drum Filter delivers compact, fully automated filtration for pump fed koi ponds and ornamental ponds up to 20m³, depending on stocking density and feeding levels.

The PF20 functions as a true plug and play drum filter. Simply connect your pond pump to the 110mm inlet, attach the return outlets, supply power and water, and start the system. Because the unit combines mechanical and biological filtration in one body, you avoid additional chambers and complex pipework. As a result, installation remains quick and straightforward, especially for upgrades, retrofits and raised pond systems.

At the centre of the unit, a 380mm x 400mm stainless steel drum fitted with a fine micron screen removes solid waste, uneaten food and suspended particles before they break down. As debris accumulates, the float switch detects the change in water level and immediately triggers the cleaning cycle. The drum then rotates while high pressure spray nozzles flush waste directly to drain. Consequently, the system maintains consistent flow and protects overall water quality.

After mechanical filtration, water enters the integrated biological chamber. Although the PF20 usually ships without media, this offer includes 50 litres free. In addition, the chamber provides generous capacity, so you can add more media later if stocking levels increase.

Compact Design with Professional Performance

Despite its compact footprint of 890mm x 460mm x 515mm, the PF20 delivers professional drum filter performance. It supports a recommended flow rate of up to 12–15m³ per hour. Therefore, it suits medium sized koi ponds and heavily stocked ornamental systems.

The 40W industrial drive motor generates approximately 33Nm of torque. It uses double seals to prevent leaks and improve long term durability. Meanwhile, the automated flushing system operates through the included control box, which reduces manual intervention and simplifies maintenance.

Because this model uses a pump fed layout, the filter sits above pond water level. A pond pump pushes water into the unit, and gravity returns it to the pond. As a result, installation remains flexible, especially where bottom drains are not present.
