Adjustable Surface Skimmer for Garden Pond Filtration Systems

The Oase AquaSkim 20 is a high performance standing pond skimmer designed to remove leaves, pollen and floating debris from the surface of garden ponds. Unlike floating skimmers, the AquaSkim 20 connects directly to an external pond pump and filtration system, allowing debris to be removed efficiently before it sinks to the bottom of the pond.

Designed for ponds up to approximately 20 square metres, the AquaSkim 20 works by drawing surface water through the skimmer head and directing it toward your pond filtration system. By removing organic material early, the skimmer helps reduce nutrient build up, improve water clarity and support a healthier pond environment.

The skimmer is particularly effective when used alongside the Oase AquaMax Eco Premium pump range, where suction is shared between the pond pump intake and the surface skimmer.

Efficient Surface Debris Removal

The AquaSkim 20 continuously removes floating material from the pond surface before it can sink and decompose.

Removing this material early helps reduce organic waste entering the pond filtration system and prevents debris from accumulating on the pond floor.

Adjustable Height for Different Pond Depths

The AquaSkim 20 features a telescopic extension tube that allows the skimmer height to be adjusted between approximately 550 mm and 800 mm.

This adjustable design allows the skimmer to be installed in ponds with varying depths while ensuring the skimmer head remains positioned correctly at the water surface.

A floating skimmer ring automatically compensates for changes in water level of up to approximately 100 mm, ensuring consistent surface debris removal even when water levels fluctuate.

Large Debris Collection Basket

The AquaSkim 20 includes a removable debris basket designed to capture leaves and other floating debris before they reach the filtration system.

The basket has a capacity of approximately 1.2 litres and features a convenient hook ring which allows it to be lifted out easily for cleaning, even when positioned away from the pond edge.

Regular emptying of the basket ensures optimal skimmer performance.

Ideal for Use with Oase AquaMax Eco Premium Pumps

Because the AquaSkim 20 is a passive skimmer without its own motor, it must be connected to a pond pump.

It is designed to work particularly well with the Oase AquaMax Eco Premium pump range. When connected to one of these pumps, suction is split between the pump intake and the surface skimmer.

For effective operation the skimmer requires a minimum flow rate of approximately 4000 litres per hour and can handle up to 8000 litres per hour.

Stable Installation

The AquaSkim 20 features a weighted base which allows it to remain securely positioned on the pond floor.

This ensures stable operation and prevents the skimmer from tipping or moving as water is drawn through the skimmer head.
